I create calm and clear, personable and professional one-page websites for people doing good work for people and planet.
why WEBSITES?
Because I couldn’t find any decent, affordable, empathetic website designers when I had my businesses, at least not ones who really listened to what I wanted, took the time to understand my business and my values (oh and wasn’t trying to charge me an absolute friggin fortune without meeting the deadline).
And I worked as a writer and editor for years, which meant working with said designers. I figured I’d learn how to create awesome websites myself. Turns out I’m really good at it. And lots of other folks (not just my granny), think I’m great at it too.
WHY PEOPLE AND PLANET?
I’m an herbalist, nature-based mindfulness and stress reduction teacher, permaculture designer, and eco-designer. You see I love nature and people, community projects, and my hands in the soil.
And since I’m all these things and they’re all related to doing good for people and planet, and all the beings on this blue and green place we all call home, I know how important this work is. I know how valuable your time is. And how you’d rather be outside with your hands in the soil than spending months on back-and-forth emails about UX design, SEO, and all the other website tech jargon.
It’s unnecessary and costly and you want to do better with your time.
But websites are essential for businesses to thrive. So that people find you, understand your work and your story, buy your workshops, book a stay in your eco accommodation, join your CSA farm, or pay for the next course you offer.
A website that sings true for you is a winner. Having a website that’s professional without being stuffy, accessible without all the overwhelming tech, and affordable without being basic is a winner. Have a website that feels like you and your business is golden.
When it can be designed and done really well in a week, even better.
